Since May 2015, Chantal Schrader has been working in various areas of political and cultural education, including the Landeszentrale für politische Bildung in NRW and Baden-Württemberg, the German Climate Foundation and aubiko e.V. Her range of tasks includes the implementation of workshops regarding European and municipal politics well as workshops on gender equality and Global Learning.

During her studies, Chantal Schrader completed internships at the UNESCO International Institute for Educational Planning in Paris, at the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS) in Bonn and at the online news portal EURACTIV in Berlin.  In addition to study-related stays abroad in Brussels and Oslo, she worked in the programme department of the Goethe-Institut Dakar, Senegal, as part of the ‘kulturweit’ voluntary service for six months.

Chantal Schrader has been active as a freelancer for the CIVIC Institute since 2021. She works full-time as an educational consultant at the Heinz-Kühn-Bildungswerk in Dortmund.

Her thematic focus includes educational inequality, educational governance, postcolonial theories and education for sustainable development.
