Since an internship at Landeszentrale für politische Bildung Baden-Württemberg (State Center for Civic Education of the state of Baden-Württemberg) in 2016, Michel Salzer works as a freelancer in the fields of civic and international education. Among other, he co-authored a simulation game about regional politics.

Since Summer 2020, he holds a position as advisor for the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s Civic Education Forum Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart, Germany.

In his undergraduate and graduate studies, he put emphasis on the topics of political transitions, democracy, protests and media. His wrote his master thesis about the framing of protest in Russia’s international online media.

Aside from a general interest in local, regional as well as European and global politics, Michel Salzer is particularly interested in the politics of Turkey and the European enlargement and neighborhood policies.
