- Studies of history and philosophy at the Ruhr University Bochum with the degree Bachelor of Arts, main focus: history of the Federal Republic of Germany and the European Union, culture of memory and nationalism research, history of violence of the 20th century, Classical German philosophy (especially Kant, Hegel, Schelling) and political philosophy
Since 2012 he has been working as a lecturer in the field of political education as well as in the area of the development of methods for education.
Since February 2012 Benedikt Müschenborn is part of the project »Europateam NRW« of the Landeszentrale für politische Bildung (state center for political education) Northrhine-Westphalia. The focus of his work was not only on carrying out project days and workshops about European politics, but also on developing and conducting internal training courses and reworking project modules for political education.
From October 2019 to December 2020 Benedikt Müschenborn was involved in the project management of the »Europateam NRW« for the Landeszentrale für politische Bildung NRW and contributed to the development of the project.
Between April 2014 and March 2016 as well as October 2016 and September 2018, he worked as a student tutor at the Institute of History at the Ruhr University in Bochum.
In 2015, he participated in the DAAD and EVZ-funded study projects »National Memory Culture in Southeastern Europe. The Case of Macedonia« and »Memory Spaces - Official Representations of History and Individual Experiences in Western Ukraine in the 20th Century« (website: http://grenzraum.martin-opitz-bibliothek.de/).
Furthermore Benedikt Müschenborn has worked as a freelance editor and writer for various employers since 2013.
Since February 2019 he has been working in projects for the CIVIC Institute for International Education with a main focus on political simulation games and workshops on Europe and EU politics.
As of December 2021, he is contact person and coordinator for simulation games and educational projects in Germany as well as for international partners and is always available for inquiries.
